The Malta Foundation Programme in collaboration with TheSynapse have embarked on an e-Learning project which is primarily aimed at Foundation Trainees and forms part of the training programme. However, the modules are also available to members of TheSynapse, and can actually be followed and completed by all doctors.

The tutors for each of these modules are experts in their respective fields and the content and delivery is guided by experts in eLearning.

To log in and participate in these programmes you need to have a login name and a password to TheSynapse. Membership in TheSynapse is free and open to all medical professionals. A membership registration form is found on http://www.thesynapse.net/users/register.asp.

To enrol for a particular module you need an enrolment key. Please send an email to mpl@thesynapse.net or contact the Foundation Programme Course Coordinators.

It is imperative to log in with your TheSynapse username and password and not as a guest to follow the course in full.

This e-learning project is a local initiative by the Medical Association of Malta with the support of the European Social Fund. It is a moodle-based learning management system which keeps track of local activities. This platform supports most local training opportunities and lectures and reproduces the audio-visual of the event as an e-learning package. Certificates can be issued on completion of modules.
