Trainee handbooks
The most recent publication of the Foundation Programme Malta Office has been the Foundation Programme handbook. This is given in paper form to Foundation trainees but is available for download here.
This handbook was modelled on the UK Foundation Programme Rough Guide, but was edited specifically to fit to the local Programme. Download the Rough Guide here.
Curriculum
The Foundation Programme Malta is the same as the UK Foundation Programme and is affiliated to it. Thus the same Curriculum for Foundation Training is used.

Operational Framework/Reference Guide
Curriculum delivery is based on an Operational Framework. The Malta Foundation Programme Operational Framework is based on this, and and may be downloaded here. For 2010, this was updated, and the new document called the Reference Guide can be found here.
E-Portfolio
All the activities done by the trainees is recorded in a Training logbook. The paper version can be dowloaded here but this is not being used in Malta. The Foundation Programme Malta will be using the electronic version of the portfolio managed by NES SCotland. Instructions on how to enter into the Demo E-portfolio site can be found here.
Trainer handbooks
The Foundation Programme Malta regularly organises training courses for Educational Supervisors and for Assessors of the Foundation Programme. Training Aids may be downloaded here.

Doctors are bound to abide by Good Medical Practice. A very good document in this regard which we recommend is published by the UK General Medical Council (GMC) and may be downloaded here.
